Senior Accountant

In this role as the Senior Accountant, reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact at a growing company as you use your previous accounting experience to further develop processes and controls while supporting the financial management team and partnering with business unit managers.
Essential Position Functions:
- Responsibility for General ledger, financial reporting, month-end close
- Account analysis and reconciliations
- Development of processes and assessing internal controls
- Assist with preparation of budgeting and forecasting
- Support with the annual financial audit
- Cost analysis
- Fixed assets
Qualifications and Experience:
- Accounting or Finance degree required
- 3+ years of progressively responsible experience
- Experience with control assessments. Experience in a Sarbanes Oxley environment preferred
- Hold a current and valid CPA license
- Big 4 experience a plus
Required Personal and Professional Attributes:
- Solid computer skills including a mastery of MS Excel and Word
- Proficient in the use of Navision or other packaged accounting software
- Commitment to process improvement and the ability to think “out of the box”
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to details are critical
- Personal characteristics of professionalism, commitment to high standards, persistence and a strong commitment to a team approach
- Ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines and consistently produce high quality work
- Motivated, energetic, able to work in a high-pressure startup environment
